Day 2 - Education starts

University of Toledo – Field House

January 15th – January 22th
7 days of Field trip – day 2

This is my second day of field trip to my own school.
I decided to have a journey on the building where I have the most of classes.

This building is called Memorial Field House.

At first time, I got lost so many times inside.
But now, I can tell where things are with my eyes closed.
One of cool things is that only this building has American flag on the top of it.

The building is actually right next to MacKinnon Hall ( dorm), and close to other buildings such as : University Hall ( the oldest building ), and student Union ( where all of restaurants).

It is efficiently located to study and get supplies.
However, the only problem is that it is so far from other dorms.
Therefore, to get to this building requires a lot of walking.

This is where I get first Placement tests for all subjects when I first get into school.
I still remember the very moment that I walked in.
It has been so long ago.

There is computer labs and empty desks where you can take tests on.

Memorial Field House is constructed from January 2006 to January 2009, over 3 years
 it is about 134200 gsf.
it cost $21.5 million dollars.

the project first intended was constructing the building preparing more for the futures.

Field house is very artistically designed.
On the wall, there are paintings and paintings.
Even a simple wall became a piece of art.

The class rooms have comfortable chairs and cozy atmosphere.
The sounds from speaker are making me thinking of being theater.

In the Center of building there is an elevator, which is connecting first floor to third floor.
You can only get to third floor by elevator.
On each floor there are some desks and chairs that you can sit on and study on.
However, the third floor is the most comfortable ones.

Although, when you are thinking about using it, make sure it is not one of teacher’s desks.

Not only pictures but some famous words from people as well.

Field house is very unique in a way that it can function as library, computer lab, a test center, and a classroom.
These rooms are computer labs.

You can print of your notes, do homework, and even can watch other country’s drama and movies.

On my way back to dorm, there is a small river.
This is a river going through our school, called Ottawa River.

Well, my day is over for today.
Better prepare for tomorrow.
Bye~

  1. You should make the website a link so when people click on it, it takes them straight there. Other than that this post was well written.
